M-stick waxes are best in old or “well used” snow, or else man-made snow, particularly when the tracks are compact and hard, and trending toward glazing. In the appropriate conditions they provide extremely smooth and glassy speed sensation, and rapid kick engagement.
While they are suitable for building layers, they provide the best performance in thin applications, on top of appropriate basewax and cushion layers.
